Question

Not needling now. Does anyone have a list of differences for ASA versus PONY? If it's in Jon Bennett's book, fine, but how about anywhere online?

CecilOne,

I am sure Tom [Iceblue] will be up shortly, and I
believe he does have something.
And I don't mean to imply that he is snoozing. .

No, been there, they don't, just comments that pitching rules are like NFHS and the DP rule is different.

Actually, I was snoozing... been in a meeting all morning!
But sorry, no, I don't have a differences list for Pony v ASA. I'd give you the web site for their rules, but I see glen has beaten me to it - darn early risers!

I am currently working on a "Rules Differences" handbook for umpires in Tidewater Virginia area. We do games for leagues who use Little League rules, PONY rules and ASA rules. If you like, once I finish it (which should be within a week), I can send you a copy.

(Hmmm....maybe I should just publish it....LOL)

Great, I'll even review a draft if you want.

Cecil,
You asked on the NHFS site for a Pony/Fed differences. I have a list of those current for last years rules. I haven't updated it for this year, as I haven't had any Pony softball yet.

Contact me if you wish to see a copy.

Cecil 1,

My goof also. I thought that it was Tom I received the PONY/FED
rules differencies from, but it was Roger.

Roger, sorry. I did not look at where my copy can from until later.

Tom, sorry I woke you that morning.

Well, Glenn. The paper must be worth something, because if it wasn't any good you would have remembered where you got it.

I'm used to not getting any credit for something unless I mess up.

Thanks to all!

Thanks to all! I have a copy of Roger's list (PONY vs. NFHS) and it looks like just what we needed.

And no, the PONY site does not have a differences list.

CecilOne,

Sorry...guess you got what you needed....I have a list of the rules difference between ASA vs PONY and ASA vs LL. If you want that (which is what I had been working on before), let me know. I'll be more than happy to e-mail it to you.

If anybody else wants it, just let me know.

Again, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

Thanks.

Looks like there is some PONY ball moving into this area. Roger and Sergio, if you get a chance, please email me a copy of your differences documents. My email is:

Thanks,
Steve M
