Question

In associations that use continuous batting orders, how do your rules address these situations? 10U 1st situation: Batter has a 2-1 count, swings at a pitch which hits her on the wrist. She is removed by her coach and parents for x-rays and medical attention. The count is now 2-2. 10U 2nd situation: Batter is hit by a pitch near the knee. After reaching first base, it is determined that she cannot continue. Is a substitute runner allowed? If so, how is the runner selected?
