![]() I agree with Mike on his original post, but he said he made a mistake, delayed dead ball, not dead ball. Wouldn't you signal ddb when the runner was obstructed going back to 3rd? Then if she was tagged on base, then what? DB? If it is DDB, and the play is alive, why would we do anything until all is over, unless R1 is tagged and they look at us for the call? I can see R1 standing on 3rd, the coach in the box telling R2 to go back to 2nd, the defense tagging R1 ON the base, (nothing) then they tag R2, out! Time, R1 is awarded 3rd on obstruction. If R1 reaches safely, the play is still live and R2 can return to 2nd at his own risk? I think I've got it, do I?? Maybe it's because I haven't called in a while, but 'splain it to me, Lucy!
