I wouldn't call right at the edge of the Pro 9 "directly in the sternum" ... The "little CP" (Honig's K2) provides great protection of the sternum; not so much the rest of the chest, and none for the belly. But the kind of shot that you took is one of the reasons I probably would not buy the K2 again.
