What's the chief trying to say?

I'm still on the ECAC e-mail list, and I just received this message from the UIC. Can anybody tell me what he's getting at?

Call ILLEGAL pitches!

Call ILLEGAL pitches!

Call ILLEGAL pitches!

It's your job! Don't worry about what the coach is going to say, or not making their NCAA/ECAC "tournament" list!

Call ILLEGAL pitches!

Call ILLEGAL pitches!

Call ILLEGAL pitches!

Know the pitching rule! And don't guess! If it's close, "marginable", [sic] don't call it! But if she's leaping OR replanting, your call is simple ... ILLEGAL!

I think he wants you to give a warning first. Isn't that what the coaches want?

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

Send a message via Yahoo to umpirebob71
It's a little vague, but I think it has something to do with pitching.

Perhaps the coaches would be happier if they were called "Undocumented Pitches."

I don't care if it rains or freezes long as I got my plastic Jesus sitting on the dashboard of my car......
