I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

hijack alert

I was told by an acquaintance about 20 years ago that was an NCAA Div 1 referee that:

Referees whistle whilst they whork.

Yeah - most of you guys have probably heard it before.

I have never heard a call of "my time." I hope I never do. To be honest, it sounds dorky as hell.

I admit - when I umpired nothing more than men's league play, I used the phrase "my time". But that was a few years ago. Now, it's just like home - nothing is "mine".
