3-man nfhs
I hope this isn't a stupid question but I haven't been able to do a lot of three man mechanics. With a runner on first and the 3b on the right field side of second is the plate responsible for steals of third? I know rotation is in effect but I'm not sure which plays the plate is responsible at third. Any help would be appreciated.

With only a single runner on 1st, you cant have a straight steal of 3rd. But, with the umpires rotated and if there is an overthrow of 2nd on the steal, then yes, the plate umpire is to rotate to 3rd and take the play at 3rd. 1st base umpire would then rotate to home plate to take any possible play there.

Nah, I just failed to note that there wasn't anybody on second. My reading comprehension problem isn't your writing problem.

Maybe this will help. Look for 3-man mechanics.
