By the way Steve I realize you must be the worlds best softball umpire but my partner was new and I've been away from the game for four years so I wanted to be sure before I told him the final answer.I thought good veterans would treat any question with respect.Instead your attitude will intimidate young officials as people like you do during association meetings. So much for no stupid questions.

Come on now, this is a pretty gentle forum.
It seems to me the OP implied the answer was already known, so no offense at the poster.

Go put a question like the OP on the baseball forum and watch what happens!

Wise guy.,.. ![]() But as I recall, even in LL, the penalty is not an out. Now there may be some other young baseball rules where you can get an out - but I don't know them. |
