I wanted to let all my buddies know that I'm still around. I've had one helluva a summer with Renee playing in 2 World Series (I missed one of them) and I had 2 surgeries, one on 060502 and another on 072902. I'm at home recuperating and watching Renee practice and play with her high school JV team. We play high school (NFHS) here in the late summer/fall. She attends Brookwood High School in Snellville, Ga. Our Varsity was state runner up last season in AAAAA.
They started school on 08/12 and their 1st game is 08/20. Last year their Freshman team was undefeated through 16 games, and we have almost the team together for JV, so it should be a great season. Y'all can answer on here or email me:[email protected] Glad to be alive and kicking and to be able to post! I haven't umpired all year, so do you think I should change my email name? Naw! Once a blue, always a blue. [Edited by Elaine "Lady Blue" on Aug 15th, 2002 at 06:04 PM]

To Irish Mafia:
I know that ISA and NSA aren't really "World Series", but that is what they call them. ISA was here in Metro Atlanta, and the NSA was in Chattanooga, so it wasn't far to travel on our budget. The team also qualified for the ASA 16U 'A', but we didn't have the funds to go to South Dakota!! However, two of our local teams did, one that placed 4th in the 14U 'A' last year went out very quickly due to a bad draw---all California teams, and the other lasted 4 games after the pool play. So much for my 'blue blood'!! (ASA) To Del-Blue: I live in Lilburn, Ga which is a suburb of Atlanta. Albany is in South Georgia which is several hundred miles south of me.

Hi Elaine, and welcome back. I was wondering just the other day why we hadn't heard from you lately.
Glad to hear about your daughter's team's successes. Good luck in the coming HS season. (Welcome back to the other boards, too!)
