Besides the beer drinking and smoking, we did not experience much of the "Beer League" follies. I will say though, the officials that were umpiring were great, very accommodating and handled all situations. We even have a few in the DVD extras of players arguing a strike, and being thrown out of a game. What did not make it was the player being thrown out, then throwing the bat and nearly hitting our camera man in the head. (he didn't even see it coming) I personally did not follow the guys that much after a tournament because I wanted them to have some down time without the cameras in their faces. I know at least once The Longhaul Bombers took my cameraman out, the next day he was a bit worthless for a few hours....

Is this a documentary on the missing link?

Have been involved with slow-pitch at a very high level over many decades.
The game has degenerated to something I am almost ashamed of at the upper levels.
Lower levels still have some credibility of sportsmanship and class.

I would like to see a good documentary on a run for the Gold national or something else featuring actual athletes involved in softball.

Fat beer league dudes do not catch my interest.

In any case, GL, maybe this will pave the way to showcasing that.

Artie should move to California. We're never dry.

This is a good documentary about a mens slowpitch softball team, getting to know each other and with a goal to go to nationals.
