The 3:57 minute preview was enough to make me want to eject someone. I think I'm going to go downstairs and eject the dog. "Nope, you can't stay on the back porch; I want you out of sight and sound."

I am fairly sure I've had the "pleasure" of having more than a few of those guys on my field from my days umpiring in Nebraska. Also sure I sent a couple of them home a little early.

Classic

The cigarrete and the beer during the interview are classic.
What is the chance the director is a slow pitch player?

My first reaction to watching the trailer was that I wanted to PUKE!! My second reaction was that I did PUKE!! My third reaction is that I want the 3:57 of my life back that I spent watching this drivel.

Honestly, that is taken from a string of pictures we took of Rusty Bumgardner and Johnny McCrawl doing a hitting demonstration in Texas. Mr. Beer Belly is streaching and you can see him a few frames over, not fat at all. Sorry you guys hate it so much from looking at a trailer, but the whole movie is much more than just the 4 minutes. Beer and Ciggs, could not get away from it if we tried, we asked everyone to be normal. And no, the Director is not a softball player. Thanks for your time.

44Core

Same beer belly guy
Waste of time and money. It's been done, Beer League was as close as you are going to get that anyone would want to pay attention. Of course, JMHO.

We use the .44cor name of the softball most used in tournament play. Changed it to 44 Core, to represent the CORE of the players, sponsors and coaches.
Beer League did not go into why the guys play, and why a son competes with his father so much. 44 Core is a documentary. Filmed over a year.

Sure they did. Get toked, drunk and laid and play a little softball on the side At least, that's they way it is around here. The main concern is whether or not someone brought beer. The sooner the game is over, the sooner the real event begins.

Hell, our team would show up even in a nasty thunderstorm, sit in the parking lot watching the lightning and drinking beer. It's a rule, once the beer is on ice, it must be consumed!

Isn't that why they play in the midwest?

Doesn't sound like a bad life to me. Except for the toked part. Never done it. Proud of it.

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

It was the movie. Then again, there was a big todo a while back because Artie Lang admitted weekly trips to here to buy his drugs. Didn't know NYC was dry.
