Pitching

After taking the cathers signal , the pitcher must bring the hands together in front of the body for between one and ten seconds before releasing the ball.
Is this true?

Speaking ASA

They can, but all the hands have to do is "come together" at some point and usually a touch is acceptable.

It may be in front of the body, to once side or the other, over the head and for that matter, behind the back.
