The Rain in Spain

Not really . . . In NC though. It rained out all my scrimmages this weekend. That may mean I'm taking the field in a game that counts this week with ZERO pre-season experience to work out kinks and shake off butterflies. Now we are under a winter storm warning which could kill our final clinic Monday night. BUT, All that said, It's GREAT to be back!!!

Hey, are you coming to the ASA state clinic tomorrow in Cary?

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to the "winter storm" that's heading our way. Might mean I get an extra day to my weekend.

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

I would love to do ASA ball but I don't think they play it in the Triad. NSA around here. All of the NSA clinics were on Sunday this year which for me, a minister, are impossible to attend. I will pick up some Modified ball in the Fall in GSO (also NSA).

Actually, Burlington plays ASA. Don't know how convenient that'd be for you, depending on which area of the Triad you're in. However, that's Tony's backyard, and they call ASA out there.

The fields they use in Burlington are also wonderful, and they have excellent crews maintaining them. At the Senior Men's National last year, we had a downpour on Saturday night that left only the tops of the bases visible. About an hour, hour and a half after the rain stopped, all 4 of those fields were ready to play in prime condition. Having been a field crew member before, I can attest to the amount of hard work put forth in order to make that happen!
