There are a few different types of softballs manufacturee..........the poly-core ball does not lose its hardness as fast as other ball types.......
There is also something called compression......you can have a ball with a .44 COR and a 525 compression that will fly further than an identical COR of .44 but a compression of 375...... You have to look at both #'s Your best results should be purchasing identical Brand balls that have the same construction with identical COR and compression.
