This is a touchy subject with several of the guys in my area. Most will not call anything, which creates problems for those who do make the illegal pitch calls.

The small non-flagrant issues can be handled in a discreet conversation with the coach. If you don't call what you see - it will cause things to get progressively worse - for the pitcher and for ALL blues.

There are a couple of local HS coaches who scratch umpires because they will call the illegal pitch. Not that the pitcher is "innocent", just that if you want to work "his" games - don't call it! I personally don't care if I ever call one of "his" games again. Teach her to throw it within the rules and there won't be any problems.
