Speaking of chest protectors......

It's time for me to get a new one.

I'd like something that fits snuggly. I think I like the hard plastic look. I don't have to have the bicep extensions.

Anyone wearing a vest they think is all that and a ham sandwich.....

Just got the Shutt Kool vest a few weeks ago and I like it a lot. It has the hard plastic on shoulders and a removable (that I plan on leaving there!) hard plate in the sterum area. Nice snug fit, velcro straps to adjust around chest area, under armour like material at bottom of protector to keep it around you. I like it, even had those ice packs to put in when really hot, haven't tried them yet, so can't comment on how they work yet.

Had an UMP prior to getting the Shutt and I liked it too.

I wear a lacrosse chest protector it has har plastic sternum , collarbone, and rib coverage but doesnt really protect your gut area. I use it from rec ball all the way to D1 ball. Its light and it protects me... Thats all I need from a chestprotector. Oh and best of all they are CHEAP if you get them from like Play it again sports and even at like Dick's they are only like 25-40 (unless you want high dollar which they can run up to 90&100 maybe more)

Pro Nine. I had one of the All Star chest protectors prior to this one, and feel so much better and protected with the Pro Nine model.

I started with "The Ump" but took too many hard shots on the shoulders, went to the Pro Nine also and love it. Much better shoulder and collarbone protection.
