You have more than one? I don't know whether to bow down in admiration, or to feel pity for you.

I wouldnt recommend them. When I see umps using those for plate pants, they ride up on the shin guard.

Honigs does sell navy blue combo pants on their web site. I have a pair and they are quality pants. They are about the best-made and fitting pants I own.

They seem a little less baggy than the other combo pants I own (all heather grey Cliff Keens). On my other combo pants, the crotch seems to be halfway to my knees and the leg openings feel like bell-bottoms. The Honigs pants really seem to look and fit more like base pants, with a more streamlined fit, but there is plenty of room under them for my shin guards.

While I love these pants, they might not fit the "buy your pants from us" directive issued by ASA. But that directive only applies to national tournaments and the Honigs pants will work just fine for any other game you're doing.

From what I've been told, they won't fit the "buy your pants from us" directive. My understanding (though my UIC, I believe, is getting clarification on this) is that even if you bought the correct Fechheimer pants from someone else, ASA will not allow them in a National. How in the world they'll be able to tell, I don't know.

Again, I'm not certain of all of this, but this is what I've heard around the mill.

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.
