Had a fellow umpire return from the Nat school in Mass last weekend and was talking about a "new" stance while working the slot. Had something to do with pelvic. I had caught wind of this this winter but didn't think much about it until he returned. What can anyone tell me about this. He was told "you won't find it in the book".

It really isn't anything new other than the acronym assigned to it. A good, open toe-heel set up in the slot would set the umpire with a Good Pelvic Alignment. This does give the umpire another focal point to check their stance.

I don't think it's new this year. Don't have the book with me so can't give the actual reference, but pretty sure it was stated in the 2007 ASA book.
