![]() Um, actually, at the High School clinic (with rule books in hand), the new rule was reviewed with the umpires and coaches present. After the review, a specific question was asked in reference to whether or not this applied to pitchers only, or all players (re: steel toe plate). So after CajunNewBlue so aptly quoted the new rule, I just thought I would add the verbal interpretation of our recent High School clinician. It seemed to help some with their understanding. |

In my rule book 3-3-11 does not say that at all. The only thing it says about toe plates is :
NOTE : Metal toe plates and metal cleats are permitted. Also, on page 83 under: METAL CLEATS AND METAL TOE PLATES PERMITTED (3-2-11): This rule change permits players to wear metal cleats and pitchers to wear metal toe plates. |
