Casting Call for Girls Fastpitch Sports Movie

The Louisiana Film Center is conducting auditions for lead actors-athletes for
the upcoming movie STATE. The auditions are for the lead positions on the main team. Talent must look like she can be in high school. It is a family oriented sports drama movie. For audition submission guidelines visit our web site at
www.statethemovie.net

Please help us spread the word to other coaches and athletes in your network. This is a grassroots campaign to get the word out and we need your help.
Thanks,

STATE Production Staff

Question

Why don't they just use the girls they had for the "trailer" video? They look pretty convincing to me.

Oh, and should I be worried that the demo script consistantly uses "your" when it should say "you're"?

Nah... it sounds the same on screen. Besides, it will be an approved usage in another 5 years.

The players weren't half a good as the parents. Don't need to change a thing with them.

As a South Carolinian, I am surprised.

It's all "ya'll" anyway.

And personally, I believe the girls in the trailer don't have big enough hair.

As a Tarheel living in Texas, I am surprised at your spelling of the contraction of "you all." It should be spelled "y'all."

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

ya'll are probly correct, but ya gots to know that up here they don't got no idea of where "over yonder" is. If you ever visit here, try it on them. Ya'll'd think they banned Starbucks or somethin.

While in Georgia at the FP camp, we got to learn the difference between "over yonder" and "over yonder way". It finally occured to me that one's a location and the other's a direction.

Always remember: "Y'all" is singular, "All y'all" is plural.

My DD related to me that some of her classmates were going on a trip with a school organization and had a trip shirt made with the word spelled "ya'll". When someone pointed out that the apostrophe was supposed to be placed where the missing letters came from, they were mortified and would no longer wear the shirt.

To tell you the truth, if I'm wearing a shirt that has that word on it, I'm not really too worried about where the apostrophe goes.

(As a South Carolinian still living in South Carolina)

What is with the sudden rush of SC-connected umpires?

I grew up there; went to college there; still have family there...
