The OP does say that the batter hits a home run. That means it either went out of play over fair territory, or it was an inside-the-park HR. Seeing as BR only made it to 2B before breaking a leg, I think it's safe to assume that the ball did leave the field of play.

Trust me, if the ball is still rolling away from the outfielders when the BR/R is rounding 2B, it's a home run, unless the fool falls and breaks is leg......oh, what a minute, that IS what we are talking about! :D

Conceded. I'm obviously reading the OP with my personal bias because I wouldn't have called this a homerun.

Well the home run hitter has to complete their base running duties but if they cant they are awarded the next base , then a sub will touch all bases awarded .
If they cant it is a forfeit and you are "Harshblue" LOL .
It comes down how you interpret the rule .
