Tampa/St Pete area

Where can I find some ASA games in this area Thursday evening or during the weekend?

As Henry use to say, be careful how you work a game, you never know who may be watching.

What? Are you now becoming the roaming umpire?

I just pictured a porcelain gnome wearing navy blue pants and a powder blue shirt. Instead of a sack, he had this little pouch on his hip...

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

Scott King or Rocky Ellingsworth (Plant City) would be good people to help.

While Scott is inactive, he knows all the movers and shakers in that area. Rocky, of course, is a bit off that area, but I know works there, too.

I know Scott and Rocky. Actually, Rocky and I had a somewhat precarious meeting as I was in Plant City for the ISF Qualifying clinic and one night, we were to work some local games in Plant City and Lakeland. Luckily, one of my deputies was with me and we were both assigned to work for Rocky.

Well, we walked into his office where my partner noticed his last name and mentioned that we have an Ellingsworth working games for us in DE. Well, you would think we just call Rocky the worst name in the world. Turns out that my Ellingsworth is Rocky's uncle with whom he did not get along. We were both told if we mentioned his name again, he would let us work. Like that was going to break my heart on a hot, muggy night

If I remember correctly, Rocky is now in Clearwater or somewhere there abouts.

Mike, try Rick Parker over in Pinellas county for a try,
The Hillsborough county program stinks and is closed to anyone without an extensive amount of paperwork.

The West Central Florida Commissioner heads up part of the Plant City program now. Give Carlton a call and I bet he could use you.

Rocky is no longer in Plant City, the last I had heard he has moved to head up a program in Sebring.

Carlton Benton,

Larry Langston,

Larry is a great guy to work with and if you make the connection to him and ASA etc. I am sure he would be willing to try and get you in.

I'm just looking for a few games to watch, not work. My wife, and orthopaedic surgeon, would kill me if I did that

Hillsborough County has a web page www.hcsportsonline.com that might have some information.
