Umpiring in the Snow - in TEXAS
I didn't get to wear the warm weather gear at all during football season... and we get to Opening Day for softball ... and it's snowing. Crazy stuff.

Even here in ET we had a little snow, mostly sleet.

And now it is supposed to be back in the 70's tomorrow.

I am guessing that you are talking about a rec league opening day, as opening day for most of us was two months ago.

With snow & rain & all, I've been able to get 6 games in and had 11 weathered out.

Yes - this was the youth league starting this late - our 3rd attempt to open the season after 2 rainouts and an inconveniently placed Spring Break.

Back in CNY, some years we were lucky to get any games in by May.
I've done a few of those snowflake falling games and it is not comfortable for sure !
So far my season here which began back in February, I haven't had to
get out my jacket for a game ! Play-offs begin next week.
