IP during DO NOT PITCH?
IP during DO NOT PITCH?
This situation occurred in an NCAA game, but I believe the enforcement would be the same in all codes. B1 singles and the ball goes back in to the pitcher. While B2 is getting her signs from the 3B coach, the pitcher steps on the rubber with hands apart. As B2 steps into the right hand batter’s box with her hand up and grooms the dirt, I hold my right hand up in the DO NOT PITCH signal. While I have my hand up, the pitcher brings her hands together, and then separates them again. When the batter is set, I drop my hand. The pitcher brings her hands back together and starts her pitch. The offensive coach wants an illegal pitch. Is she correct?

Yeah. What Tom said is about the only enforcement you can get. Cannot have an illegal pitching action during a suspension of play.
