Websites anyone?

I have been assigned in our hs association to design/build a new website (ok..I volunteered!) I would certainly appreciate anyone here whose association has a site posting a link so I can compare what everybody does with their sites. Also we were thinking of asking our local ASA/PONY organizations to help out with this site, so they can post a few things too! Anyone with experiences here too! Thanks in advance!

I adapted a format made for teams/leagues. Less the $100 a year including URL

Dallas Metroplex Softball Umpires Assoc is at:

www.dmsua.com -- any questions just email the webmaster (me)

its all simple HTML and some javascript .... easy to maintain - host cost is $25/year for 10GB (I think its 10)

So I now have our site up! www.chvbgsoinc.org

I went through goDaddy, and am (so far) happy with the results...Still am working out how to use their posting tools, but this will serve our needs.
I will definitely be working on it, and will be adding more pics and graphics
as I go along.

We are a group of about 65 officials, so it will never be as complex as
say, what the Dallas group has done!

Websites

I began using an open source portal called dotnetnuke last year that allows any authorized user to edit and update the web pages. The two sites I maintain are a local county park youth program at

www.ngbsa.org and www.theumpireshop.com

I''ve used www.crystaltech.com as a hosting company for the last 10 years or so: they aren't the cheapest but provide awesome support. This is not the easiest route to take as it requires some learning to set things up. It is very customizeable. You can learn more at www.dotnetnuke.com
