In 1949 ______________ retired 55 batters
via strikeouts in a 21-inning affiar. His team the Clearwater Bombers of Florida, beat Phillips 66 of Oklahoma for the ASA National pennant. To make the weekend even more amazing, after completing those 21 innings and with only a 10-minute rest break, _______then pitched a nightcap game for 14 more strikeouts the same night. ------------------------------------------- glen
