I actually had the same situation in a 14u game last year. In Ontario we have an assoctian called ORSA which is manly for the rural centers,( farminng communities ) I mainly do intercity stuff Teir 1 or Teir 2, and I allways enjoy going out the odd time to do the rural stuff.
Same situation basically, 2 expeirence umpswith myself on the plate and the coach all over us, but never enough to eject him. All of a sudden we had a infeild pop up to the first baseman when just before she was going to catch it he yells and the girl drops the ball. He was the first base coach at this time and I had had enough so in my loudes voice that I could muster.
"DEAD BALL, BATTER'S OUT, FOR VERBAL INTERFEIRENCE.''
He was the home team coach and when he came down to have his words at me I stated in a voice loud enough that it carried to the stands about his manner of coaching and his lack of sportsmanship, exact words elude me at the moment but they got the drift of things. I was told a week later the the parents actually fired him as coach and a parent took over even though he had no knowledge of fastball. He didn't want the kids to have to be without a coach so he stepped forward. I did the same team a month later and he had all kinds of help from coaches who know the ins & outs of fastball and the girls were acctually having fun.
