collinb,
There is a gentlemen on this Forum that can give you all the information you will ever need on the DP/DEFO subject. His name is Steve M. I obtained a copy through the website that GulfCoastBlue maintains. http://www.eteamz.com/sites/GCBUmpire Not sure if Steve has web site or not, but he has a great article. glen [Edited by whiskers_ump on Jul 12th, 2001 at 06:13 PM]

If the DP goes in for the DEFO........the DEFO is done.......BUT may re-enter once......just like a regular substitution........... Steve,
Your article regarding the DP & DEFO subsituting was great. I have a feeling of confidence in my own mind on the rule. I've printed out the material to bring with me this Friday where SUA (Suburban Umpires Assc.) will be doing a 18U Tournament in Barrington Illinois. I've also E-Mailed this forum's link on this subject to our VP in charge of training and the UIC this weekend. Thanks for all your help. This Forum is the best tool I have for Umpiring. I have always gotten answers quickly and I view the postings daily.
