blatantly obvious
We often discuss very subtle and rare off-the-wall plays on these forums, so I thought I would describe some that were "blatantly obvious".
In a JUCO DH yesterday, runners from 2nd ran into SS fielding batted balls not once or twice, but three times in one game, all enough to move the SS out of position and once to fall. None of these looked intentional or malicious, and by both teams. Later, F4 ran into the path of a runner approaching 2nd on an outfield hit, knocking both of them down, while the ball was still on the ground in the outfield. F8 then tried to throw the runner out at 3rd, but overthrew to the fence. F5 retrieved the ball quickly enough that I ruled the runner would have had no chance to reach home and left her at 3rd. It's nice that sometimes they are easy.
