Working local league, 12U games tonite, solos.
Had two coaches that are always criticizing and belly aching about calls. Added the following to pre-game conference. Ok coaches that about covers everything, except this one item. You dont criticize my judgement calls, and I wont criticize any of your decisisons. HAVE A NICE GAME.

I had a similar situation back in '89. Just moved into the area, and was working for the first time at this men's slo-pitch league at a local park. Not knowing me, the second baseman/manager on one team kept complaining about everything, including my mechanics. In the third inning I had enough and called time and walked out in front of the plate. Pointing at the loud-mouth, so there would be no question as to whom I was talking, I said quite loudly, "I'll make a deal with you. You don't tell me how to ump, and I won't tell you how to play. If you can't understand that, you can leave, because I'm here for the rest of the game." Not another word from the guy. In fact, nothing from his entire team the rest of the season.
