That's pretty neat, can you set one up for the basketball forum too?

Hey, come on!
Italy is NOT in the USA :D :D How could I join this?? A. |
I was just thinking the same thing .
Although I have heard that a lot of yanks think that the USA is the world . |

You really don't think the "A" in USA stands for America, do you? :) |

Is there a "Rome" somewhere? So that I could be more precise!! That's fun, my friends... Out of jokes: I think it's great to be an umpire also because you can feel home... wherever softball is. To debeau: don't be rough. At least you and me and anyone else are 'host' in this softball forum. A place where we can learn a HUGE quantity of information, a place we are not able to find in our homeland. A forum 'Made in USA'... Be polite with 'yanks'. :) A. |

Yep, We have a Rome in Georgia. The zip code is 30161. You are welcome to become an Honarary Citizen. Buddy. |
No need to abandon your home country, if your home country doesn't happen to be good ol' U.S. of A.
That intractive map is a WORLD map. Just click the arrows in the upper left-hand corner and you'll whiz right across the Atlantic and into the old country. |
;)
THANK YOU! Though I'm honored for being considered a candidate for a honorary citizenship... I pointed my REAL hometown on the map. It is 60 Km southern of Rome. Very close to Anzio (is there someone, ah - well, 'mature' enough to remember it was a very special place for World War II?); you can clearly see the American Cemetery on the map (if you enlarge enough). Nettuno is well known in Old Continent because of Baseball... in fact the very best place for SOFTBALL is up in the north, all around Milan you can find the best tournaments. Just to show you something here... :) Ciao a tutti! A. |
Oh well as stated previously there is a town/city in Texas named after me
Beaumont . Well maybe I am being big headed there and I am sure the place is a lot older than me . At least I hope so . |

Texas is SO BIG they have a Rome AND an Italy. |

I greatly enjoyed being homeported in Gaeta from 1988-90. Visted Nettuno several times, and I'd like to go back for another visit. |

This is REALLY a small world! Nice to 'meet' you on the web. And if you'll ever come back here, let me know in advance! I've never been in USA. Though I worked with many (very, very good) umpires from USA. I don't want to forget someone... BTW from this forum I say 'hello' to Sonny Pompilii (Philadelphia), Joe Massaro (New Jersey), Jim Lykins (Las Vegas) and Lisa Rudloff (Arizona). A. |
