For your entertainment...I posted a photo too...It's at my Mother-in-law's lake and I'm on the right. The "little" guy on the left is my little brother. Every year the pier we are standing on needs to be taken out (usually in late October) and put back in (in early April).

Darn straight I was 10 feet away. Maybe not quite 10 feet, but I remember this play. Originally had to be far enough back to have all elements of play in front of me, including the catch by the right fielder, tag up by runner at third, etc. So I had moved back to the fence and up the line (known as the holding area - you can look it up) so I could see all I needed to see without so much as a slight head turn...

Plus I had to make up for those who can't seem to get out from behind the plate no matter what...not that we have any of those...

Plus, it's much easier to not call crow hops from there.

Actually, rumor has it that my wife went to Honig's down in Oregon, and John (great guy that he is) found a Crow Hop Detector on one of the shelves in the back, sold it to my wife for a buck, and that's what I am getting for Christmas!!! Wooo Hoooooooooooooooo!!!!!

I just hope my rotator cuff doesn't wear out on me from calling all those millions of IPs I have been missing over the years.
