Base hit or what?

Hi all for the 1st time. I enjoy reading this site.
Can you help with this nagging question?
Runner on 3rd, 1 out. Easy one hopper back to pitcher. Pitcher checks 3rd, runner stays on bag. Pitcher looks left then back to 3rd then throws accurately to 1st. Batter runner just beats it.
How is that scored? If batter runner eventually scores will that be an earn run?

Second situation (sorry). A runner on 3rd (from triple) scores on passed ball and than the batter strikes out to end inning. Earned run?

2 - Run is not earned.
