This came from SOFTBALL UMPIRES

3 days, 25 innings, 1 run: Lambkins win marathon

http://eteamz.active.com/softballumpires/news/

What are the longest games you have umpired. This beats my longest game, I worked the plate on the longest game in Georgia it was Brookwood vs Shiloh 24 innings over 2 days. This was before the tie breaker.

Red face

My longest was a 17 inning SP 14U Regional game in 1989 that lasted 3 hours and 45 minutes and I was the rabbit. I thought I was going to die before that game was over!! LOL! Of course I was 39 at the time and in a lot better shape than I am now. The guy at 1st was 72 and I was surprised he didn't keel over! He kept right on shuffling the best he could.
BTW, this was my 1st big tournament and I was really hustling to impress the UIC of the tourney and the Atlanta Metro UIC as this was only my 2nd assignment as the 3rd base umpire. I was an independent at the time with 16 umpires under me at a local park. We were the "Diamond Blues".

Longest mens FP game was 23 innings...ended 1-0 on fielding error. Teams actually asked to use ITP in like the 13th or something.

Longest HS game is 13 innings.

Longests ASA Summer game league game was 10 innings, in 14U "B" ball. ..I think.

Mens FP 16 Innings 3 hours and 45 mins.

NCAA Regular Season 8 Innings 4 Hours(Nightmare Game - Pitching Optional Final Score something like 16 - 6 was 4-4 Going into the 8th)

NCAA Regular Season 11 Innings w/ITB only 3 hours

NCAA Fall Ball 3 Hours 30 Mins - 6.5 Innings(Home Team locked Visitors out of showers when completed because they were so difficult)

SummerBall who knows.

One weekend, men's FP, 4 games of 11 innings, 1 game of 8 innings, 1 game of 9 innings...Sorry Tony!

Drove the 8, the 9, and two of the 11's. Other two, not my fault. Thanks Tony!

My longest game? A rec co-ed game lasting 3 innings.

Had one girl hit for the cycle... and that was just in the second inning.
