My longest was a 17 inning SP 14U Regional game in 1989 that lasted 3 hours and 45 minutes and I was the rabbit. I thought I was going to die before that game was over!! LOL! Of course I was 39 at the time and in a lot better shape than I am now. The guy at 1st was 72 and I was surprised he didn't keel over! He kept right on shuffling the best he could.
BTW, this was my 1st big tournament and I was really hustling to impress the UIC of the tourney and the Atlanta Metro UIC as this was only my 2nd assignment as the 3rd base umpire. I was an independent at the time with 16 umpires under me at a local park. We were the "Diamond Blues".
