Returning from a softball earlier tonight and in a line of
cars, all speeding. I am trail car. See those flashing lights behind me, do my thing, signal, find safe spot, and pull over. Officer approves, takes insurance papers and drivers license. Tell me why I was stopped, speeding. I don't get smart and say "so were the 10-12 cars in front of me", just "Yes Sir". He pulls out the ticket booklet. Before he begins to write, I ask him, "Sir, lets say this was a sporting event and as the official you have a choice, you can warn or eject." Explain that I mean, you can give me a ticket, that will go on my record, or you could just issue a warning. He laughs, and said, "well you have been courteous and cooperative, I will go with the warning." Wheeee, gald he was a "sporting" type guy.
