14u Western Nationals

This past weekend, I was invited to work the 14u Western National tourney in Kingman, AZ.

There were several teams from California at the tournament and alot of parents and coaches that post regularly on the Eteamz boards.

I was behind the plate for Sam's team in one game and met several other coaches that recognized me from my picture on the site. It was kind of fun to put faces with handles and talk softball between games.

I thought about calling six or seven leaving early violations on Sam's team...but decided against it!

Fun tourney to work and had a great time!

So, did they leave early or not? If they did, why not make the call? That's kinda what we're there for, isn't it?

Andy was saying he was tempted to make the calls just to tweak Sam, since Sam posted a mini-rant on eteamz about a particular umpire who called 6 or so leaving early calls in the same tournament.

Awww, now I can certainly relate to that. I don't go over there much anymore. Too many of those BBALLCOACH types over there.
