ASA rules. If a tournament authorized photographer is on the field and is hit by a thrown ball, out of the designated media area, what is the call, besides the photographer leaving the field? I know I read somewhere that if the ball hits media equipment or person in the media area, it's a live ball and play on. But, I'm almost sure that I've read if the media is outside the media area, it is a dead ball when hitting the equipment or person of the media. Or is that media equipment that is loose?
Am I dreaming?

Preventive umpiring keeps the media on their toes as far as keeping their equipment in a position of being mobile enough to be able to evacuate an area if necessary.
