Hi,
When a runner interfers with a fielder trying to catch a fly ball in foul territory, the runner is out and it is a foulball for the the batter. But what happens if the runner interfers with a fly ball in fair territory ? Are they both out ? Or is the first base awarded to the batter (because he hit a fair ball) ? Thanks, Gael |

In ASA you can get a double play in either situation, depending on the situation. In the 1st situation, speaking Fed, runner is out, stike on the batter. In Fed, the runner is out and the batter goes to 1st, in the 2nd situation.
