If I were PU and you told me we were switching...I'd walk. I'm scheduled for the plate, I'm doing the plate, unless by mutual agreement you both decide it would be best.
If you do switch umpires/replace them, then you've destroyed umpire who you said is still doing a good job. Keep him on the dish!
