If the catcher is 18 years old, she does not have to wear a
mask while warming up the pitcher. This came from the catcher of a very good ASA team playing in the finals of the undefeated teams. My partner and I told her to don it, or warm it (bench).

Posted this on another thread, but it applies here.
Had a catcher (10U league ball) "freak out" after having the gear on for a while. Seems it was her first time catching in a game. Apparently, they don't make here wear it during practice. WOW! |
