Individual idiots aside, and leaving out AA level ball, the younger ages (10U is as low as we go here with umpires) definitely have more problems with coaches and parents than older levels.
I believe the cause is inexperience with the game on the part of the coaches and the parents. They are not experienced with the rules or with the expectations of the game of youth fastpitch. As they gain expereince, including at least a basic understanding of the major rule differences with baseball, and they lose the notion that yelling at the umpire is "part of the game" things operate a lot more smoothly.
But, then, there remains the occasional idiot.
