The basic difference is in ASA it is not allowed if deemed dangerous by the umpire, and in NFHS it is not allowed at all.

JO Fastpitch, NOT ALLOWED AT ALL.
the difference is that in adult ball, it is umpire judgement.
All JO is sans jewelry.
