Does anyone use this mask? If so, please provide some feedback on whether or not you like it and why. I am interested in hearing if it is truly as lightweight as they claim as well as if it provides a larger field of vision than conventional masks. I believe this is the same mask that Gerry Davis sells as the "new view" mask. Thanks!

It is essentially the same mask. Schutt and some others also make them. It is a single bar, low profile mask (hence the improved vision as it is closer to the face). It is also extremely lightweight, only about a pound or so.

Downfalls include the fact that they are pricey, as I am sure you have noticed. Also, you really have to practice at getting it off over the hat. I am still working on it. I have only had mine for about two weeks or so.

dtwsd,

I have used the mask for about three months now. I really
like it. I also have the SUL, but now prefer the gerry davis
mask. Adjust the harness properly and you don't have any trouble
even with six stitch. At least I have not.

Welcome to the board.

Ed,
Somewhere down the line, there is a long thread on the
wearing of the hockey style mask. Don't have time to
hunt and copy/paste for you right now, but his has been
discussed previously. There were several different views
to whether it should or should not be used.

I got this mask as a christmas gift. I have not used it under actual game conditions as our season doesn't kick off until next week, providing the white stuff is gone.

I have used it in the gym and really like it. It is very lightweight as advertised. I do not have a problem getting it off. I keep my harness real loose and let the mask sit on the bill of my hat anyways. I do not believe you will be able to use a 6 stitch bill hat under it though. I only tried doing this once and it seems a little snug. Sure is a great improvement over the old iron mask I have been using for years.

Duke,

I was surprise that you can. I was not aware I had my six
stitch on the first time I wore it, and with the harness
properly adjusted, I did not loose the hat once. I prefer
the four stitch though. With it, there is no doubt.

I really appreciate everyone input. I was debating between the Wilson and the new +POS mask (AUL300) and was having trouble deciding between the two. I got a great deal on Ebay for the Wison ($71 including shipping). Considering that it runs $112 on Wilson's website, I couldn't pass it up. I'm still waiting for it to arrive but I wanted to find out what others thought about it. Thanks everyone.

$112 is the MSRP on Wilson's website. I know about Lester's price. That's why When I saw it for $61 + $10 for shipping I jumped on it.
