runner closest to home
Two plays:
1) No outs, R1 on third, R2 on second. Batted ball to SS, who threw to first, muffed by first baseman, BR safe, ball rolled toward fence. Coach interfered with fielder going for the ball. R1 had already reached home at the time of interference. Dead ball, R2 is out as runner closest to home. Interference was not intentional. 2) One out, R1 on first, batted ball caught in flight. Fielder threw to first for double play, muffed by first baseman, ball rolled into foul ground. Retired BR interfered with fielder reaching for the ball. Dead ball, R1 out as runner closest to home. Interference was not intentional. Comments or questions?
