Opinion on this Interference

Runners are not allowed to remain upright and run into a fielder with the ball.
When the runner is already out, therefore "retired", the same thing seems still to be interference.
Do you agree with calling the INT and ruling the other runner closest to home out?
Does it matter if the retired runner's out is a force or a tag at the time of the collision?

Yes, call INT on the retired runner if/when it happens.

Yes, it matters, but only in the sense of when the retired runner is put out. It makes no difference on the enforcement. If the retired runner is already out on a force, and THEN runs into a fielder making a play, its INT and the runner closest to home is also out. If the runner is NOT YET out on the force when the INT occurs, we can't get two outs. Likewise, if the runner hasn't been tagged, she's not yet retired.

If the runner is "alive" and causes a collision with a fielder making a play, it's an INT out for her and possible MC + EJ. If the runner is retired, and causes a collision with a fielder making a play, it's retired runner INT and runner closest to home is out (MC as you see it). If the runner is retired and initiates a collision with a fielder NOT making a play, it's a live ball + almost certainly MC + EJ.

I'm a little new at this. Could you please point out the fed rule on, a runner cannot go into a base standing up on a force?
Thanks
