A Saturday night laugh---"STRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE"

So I was at a 14U tournament today. The PU was entertaining, to say the least. Take a big deep breath and say the word "STRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE" until you literally run out of air completely. I mean this dude literally strung it out for 10-12 seconds. Every kid on the field was smiling. The games had a 90 minute time limit. I quickly realized it was actually 60 minutes, with an allotted extra 30 minutes for him to say the word "STRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE" multiple times.

Here's the funny part and the take-home lesson for you guys who like to say the word strike for an eternity. He missed a few obvious balls and mistakenly called them strikes. I mean really high and outside balls that weren't even close. We could tell he knew he missed the call immediately because it was the only time he said a quick and sharp "STRIKE". So keep it consistent if you're going to empty your lungs completely with each called strike.

Not supposed to bring attention while umpiring. Cannot stand this.

Once I had a partner who had a "Srtieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek" call.
Luckily he got hit in the second inning so I volunteered to take over the plate, which he agreed to.
Thank goodness.

We went back to finish the next day, and he was doing it again, but not every single time. I guess he was tired. Lol. I literally counted 10 seconds with one of the "STRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKES".
