No big thing, Elaine. They are heading back to the Friendly Confines with Mark Prior on the mound tomorrow. Lowest ERA in the league! Two games in Chicago and it will be all over with the Cubs advancing to the NLCS.

Ok Scott----- here's one for the Cubbies
![]() The Braves couldn't hit when they needed to, left too many on base, couldn't pitch to the right spot, etc. The Cubs deserved the win. I'm still mad at that jacka$$ FICK! If I were Bobby Cox---- ![]() But he probably only ![]() As for me..... ![]()

Neither of yous wants to face the Yankees, so give it
in....{though unfortunately, I think the Red Soxs will take the Yankees in the AL finals, if they take game 5 of their series...If not, it will be the Yankees. And, we don't really care if it is the Cubs or Marlins.... glen

You know, I just looked out my window and saw a pig fly. I felt the ground below me, and it was freezing cold. What is going on here? An apocalypse? All I know for sure is that Pittsburgh beat the Braves... the Cubbies were just there to witness it, and what a game between the Sox and the A's.

No doubt about it that the trades with Pittsburgh set this post season up for the Cubs. One thing I am certainly thankful for. Cubs and Red Sox World Series.
I was reading some op-eds the other day regarding the potential for a Cubs/Sox series, and was amused when one pundit said that the Sox would really need to win it, because the anger of the fans would not let them deal with a loss. He mentioned that Boston would be in mayhem if the Sox lost the Series, whereas Cub fans everywhere would be able to handle the loss because after almost a 100 years, they have come to expect it. I...however...am not one of those Cub fans. This is the year. The curse of the goat will become a thing of the past!
