It won't matter where the games are played. This is the Cubs year! I am looking for a Boston-Chicago World Series with the Cubs winning in six!

Elaine, the Cubs have four great pitchers working for them in the post season. Zambrano, tonight's starter, has been hot the past two months. Prior is the best pitcher in the show, for my money, and he starts game three. Clement has some powerful stuff when he is on, which he has been as of late. Yeah, this is certainly the year that the Cubs pay the Braves back for stealing Maddux from us all those many years ago.

On behalf of the city of Pittsburgh, we would like to congratulate the Cubbies on their victory and the NL Central championship. We were glad to help you guys out, I guess.

The Chicago Cubs last World Series victory was in 1908.
The Boston Red Sox last World Series victory was in 1918.

Among many others, the following teams have had World Series victories since then:
New York Giants
Philadelphia Athletics
Boston Braves
Brooklyn Dodgers
Milwaukee Braves
Washington Senators

If the 2003 World Series pits the Cubs vs. the Red Sox, we should sell all of our worldly possessions, buy gold bullion, and go hide out in a cave, since it is a sure sign of the Apocalypse.

As to the Twinkies, get a base ball stadium. Who's idea was a white ceiling and hefty bags for walls? Ranks right up there with having a flagpole on a hill in center field. Forcing me to root for the Yankees, shame on you.

I agree the stadium is pathetic.

The TEAM, OTOH...

...will not make it past the Yankees, as much as I hate to admit it. The first game was a fluke. Two big errors in the same inning!!! I don't see it happening again. Just my opinion, of course.

Good Call John, I am with you.....
Yanks will take their series, Boston theirs,
and as much as I hate to admit it, Boston will
become the new American League Champions.....
They will play the Braves in the World Series..

Although I would rather see the Yankees win it all.....

Glen , Glen, Glen....

...the Braves will never make it past the Cubs. There is no way that they will be in the World Series. I am telling you, prepare for the Apocalypse or whatever it takes, but the two supposed "cursed" teams are on their way this year!

Screw baseball!

The second most boring game in the world behind soccer.

I'd rather watch curling.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with curling. Curling will sweep the nation. No pun intended, of course.
