Facepaint
Anybody have any issues with players wearing eye glare shield with designs down the face or glitter in the paint? In football we only allow the hash under the eye but can't find anything covering it in softball.

I have read articles where some StateHSAA consider the face paint to be intimidating and unsportsmanlike and therefore illegal. Fortunately, neither the OhioHSAA nor the MichiganHSAA has not come to the misbegotten conclusion.
Furthermore, if a team is intimidated by its opponent's facepaint then its HC has bigger problems. MTD, Sr.

In Georgia, GHSA is using the "to be used as intended by the manufacturer" to state that a straight line only (glitter can be added) is the proper application to address glare; anything else is an adornment (like that doesn't contradict the approval of glitter!!).

There was a proposed rule change for ASA at the last council meeting back in November that addressed the eye black application.
The rule change was to limit it to a single line under the eye. Fortunately, the change was voted down.
